Niet afgelopen vrijdag, maar die vrijdag ervoor heeft een vriendin foto's van mij gemaakt. Niet zomaar foto's, echt professionele foto's. Zij is namelijk fotografe. We hebben dit niet gedaan in een studio, maar gewoon op ons dakterras. Persoonlijk ben ik heel blij met de foto's, er zitten echt een paar mooie plaatjes tussen.
Nadine, zo heet ze, heeft een uitgesproken stijl van fotograferen. Zo houdt ze veel van zwart-wit foto's, maar ze kijkt wel of het ook past bij de foto. Ze wil met haar series een statement maken, iets kunnen zeggen met beeld. Dit vereist precisie en passie, wat ze zeker heeft voor haar werk! Als ze erover praat, dan glundert ze altijd en krijgt ze direct zin om aan de slag te gaan. Ze gaat voor het perfecte licht, de perfecte posities en voor jóuw uitstraling. Ondanks mijn foto's portretfoto's zijn, is het wel echt 'mijn' hoofd. Ik trek geen gek hoofd of lach niet even voor het vogeltje. Nadine gaat voor sterke foto's met sterke blikken. Ze wil een foto van je gezicht, precies zoals die is. Een stijl wat je niet vaak ziet bij fotografen en dit heeft ze dan ook menigmaal gehoord. Not this friday, but the friday before, I went for a shoot with a friend. Not just a friend, a photographer. We made professional photo's on our roof. I'm really happy with the pictures, there are certainly some real nice takes.
Nadine, that's her name, has a very distinct style of shooting. She loves black and white pictures, but still looks if that effects fits the picture, she wants to make a statement with her series. She says something with image. This takes passion and precisioin, something she really has. She glows as she talks about her job and wants to get to it right away. Even though she made portretpictures of me, she want to shoot 'my' head. Sounds a bit funny to say it that way probably, but I mean she doesn't want you to pose. No saying cheese or laughing at the little birdie. She wants to make a strong picture of your face, just the way it is. That's a style not a lot of photographers have.
